Departure for Jaipur

Morning visit Agra Fort, the most beautiful 17th century Mughal architecture. In 1565, Akbar began to build the Red Fort with its high red sandstone walls: inside, south, is the Jahangir Mahal or Palace of Jahangir, built by Akbar to the north, the Pearl Mosque, built by Shah Jahan. The "Khas Mahal" which forms three pavilions, one discovers a beautiful view of the Yamuna and the Taj Mahal.

Checkout from hotel and drive to jaipur ;

Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. This deserted, red sandstone city, built by Emperor Akbar, between 1570 and 1585, now glows in its magnificent past. This was once the capital of the Moghul Empire for a short period but later abandoned due to scarcity of water. Here you will visit the Bulund Darwaza (The Gate of Victory), which is said to be the tallest gateway in the world. In the northern part of the courtyard is the superb white marble tomb of the famous Sufi   saint - Shaik Salim Chishti. This tomb was built in 1570 and legend says that the Moghul Emperor Akbar was without a male heir because of which he made a barefoot pilgrimage from Agra to seek the blessings of this saint. The saint foretold the birth of a son, and in gratitude Akbar named his son Salim, who was later called by the title Jehangir.

Continue drive to  Jaipur and upon arrival check-in at the Lebua resort (Click on the hotel link to visit hotel digitally).

OPTIONAL : UNIQUE EXPERIENCE : DINNER AT CHOKHIDHANI VILLAGE

Ambling camels and brightly dressed locals, reflect Jaipur’s desert heritage while the teeming markets display a profusion of handlooms and crafts. Come visit the city of love, legends and lore.

  • The tour was very well organised. Leading up to the trip, staff got back to me straight away with any queries over email and phone. We had the same driver throughout the trip, who was always on time. The local guides were friendly and knowledgeable. There was also lots of flexibility to add things into the tour we wanted to see. No complaints!
