Reception upon arrival by Expedition 2 India representative at the International airport and transfer to Hotel.

Afternoon Guided sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. Drive past Red Fort, a Moghul monument, built in red sandstone between 1638 and 1648. Enjoy a rickshaw ride from Red Fort to the 17th century Jama Mosque, the biggest mosque in India, showcasing architectural extravagance including three gateways, four angle towers and two minarets. Pay your respects at Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi.

Guided tour of New Delhi in the morning. Visit the Qutub Minar - a soaring 73 m-high tower of victory built in 1193 that tapers from a 15 m diameter base to just 2.5 m at the top. Also visit the 16th century tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun - an early example of Mughal architecture. Pay your respects at the India Gate war memorial before driving past the President’s House, Parliament House and Secretarial buildings.

Afternoon at leisure.

In the morning, drive from Delhi to Agra (203 KMS/04 and Half Hours)

On arrival check-in at the Hotel.

Afternoon visit the Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal in 1565 on the bank of the river Yamuna. The symmetrical, white-marble building consists of an arch-shaped doorway topped by a large dome and decorative spires.

Morning visit Agra Fort, the most beautiful 17th century Mughal architecture. In 1565, Akbar began to build the Red Fort with its high red sandstone walls: inside, south, is the Jahangir Mahal or Palace of Jahangir, built by Akbar to the north, the Pearl Mosque, built by Shah Jahan. The "Khas Mahal" which forms three pavilions, one discovers a beautiful view of the Yamuna and the Taj Mahal.

Morning, drive from Agra to Ranthambhore (302 Kms / 07 Hours).

Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. This deserted, red sandstone city, built by Emperor Akbar, between 1570 and 1585, now glows in its magnificent past. This was once the capital of the Moghul Empire for a short period but later abandoned due to scarcity of water. Here you will visit the Bulund Darwaza (The Gate of Victory), which is said to be the tallest gateway in the world. In the northern part of the courtyard is the superb white marble tomb of the famous Sufi   saint - Shaik Salim Chishti. This tomb was built in 1570 and legend says that the Moghul Emperor Akbar was without a male heir because of which he made a barefoot pilgrimage from Agra to seek the blessings of this saint. The saint foretold the birth of a son, and in gratitude Akbar named his son Salim, who was later called by the title Jehangir.      

Continue drive to  Ranthambhore and upon arrival check-in at the Hotel.

Early morning and afternoon game viewing in the park by shared canter.

Ranthambhore Wildlife Sanctuary extends over an area of 392 sq.  Km of thick forests.  The place abounds in the scenic beauty and is a refuge for both the carnivorous and herbivorous animals. The numerous valleys and flat hill tops form picturesque surroundings of the 10th century historical Ranthambhore Fort.   One can spot predators like the Tiger and Leopard and other carnivorous animals like the Hyena, Jackal and Sloth Beer. The sanctuary also abounds in Wild Boar and various varieties of Deer like spotted Deer, Sambhar, Chinkara and Nilgai (blue bull). The common Langaur (monkeys) abound in the trees.

Morning drive from Ranthambhore to Jaipur (160 Kms /04 Hrs)

Jaipur - The capital of Rajasthan, this picturesque city is a symphony in pink, a color which signifies  hospitality in Rajput culture. Built by Raja Jai Singh in the 18th century, it is surrounded by hills topped with rugged fortresses and dotted with fairy tale palaces. Ambling camels and brightly dressed locals, reflect Jaipur’s desert heritage while the teeming markets display a profusion of handlooms and crafts. Come visit the city of love, legends and lore.

Set off on a morning excursion to Amer Fort, located 12 km outside Jaipur amidst picturesque and rugged hills. Built in 1592, as the kingdom capital by Raja Man Singh with red sandstone and white marble, it is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Ascend the fort on the back of a brightly caparisoned elephant.

Afternoon, proceed on a city tour visiting the 18th century stone-observatory Jantar Mantar; driving past the famed Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), before spending time at the opulent City Palace - built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal style with its grand museums displaying an excellent collection of miniature paintings, costumes and armory. (Monuments close by 16:30 hrs).

Morning visit local bazaars.Afternoon drive from Jaipur to Delhi (260 Kms/ 06 Hours).Later transfer to airport to catch your flight back home.
